RefLeX
Professionalization in adult education concerning refugee experiences and learning disabilities
The Erasmus+ project RefLeX aims to support adult educators in teaching adults with refugee experiences and different learning disorders. People with refugee backgrounds usually face not only the difficulty of finding their feet in an unfamiliar country, but also have often had traumatic experiences during their flight. This makes it all the more important for adult education in the receiving country to address these experiences and any psychological stress, as well as individual learning histories and disorders and the impact of these factors on learning itself.

Project implementation
How do we actually carry out the project? In a first step, based on literature research and interactions with adult educators and affected learners, we are creating a booklet with background information on migration, flight experiences and further education for people with various learning journeys and difficulties.
Building on this, digital learning content for adult educators will be developed. The information and practical tips contained therein are intended to facilitate the future planning and implementation of further education programmes for people with refugee experiences and specific learning disorders.
In addition, a toolbox with practical guides and exercises on topics such as learning motivation, concentration and multisensory learning will be compiled. Adult educators can use these exercises directly in their courses, and they are designed to develop learners' skills based on a playful approach.
In short: With this project, we want to contribute to integrative and needs-oriented adult education.
